The Audubon Bird Call is a classic, simple birdwatcher's tool, invented by American Roger Eddy in 1947.
The Bird Call is made from cast zinc and birch wood in Rhode Island, although the metal ring still reads "Newington Conn" in honor of the factory's original location. It does not mimic specific bird calls, but rather creates a tweeting noise that curious birds recognize and investigate.
A capsule of rosin is included in the package and an occasional application will make your bird call last for years.
The bird call is endorsed by the National Audubon Society, America's oldest and largest bird conservation organization.
